Professor Uziel Adini

Professor Uzi Adini is one of the most renowned authorities in Jewish Education in America. Following 23 years as the Director of the Jewish Community High School of Gratz College (the largest supplementary Jewish high school in North America), Dr. Adini served as Vice President of Gratz College in Philadelphia.

Among his many achievements is the creation of two software applications — "School Aide" and a "FileMaker Pro" application — fully integrated and most sophisticated school management software, fulfilling all administrative wishes of any academic institution. Dr. Adini also served as the Head Consultant for Secondary Jewish Education in the Division of Community Services of Gratz College; as well as Educational Director of Camp Ramah in the Poconos.

Following a long career in educational administration as well as in academia, Dr. Adini is presently Professor of Education and Literature at Gratz College. His monumental contribution to Jewish Education combines his unique research and administrative experience in the field of Educational Administration, Evaluation, Educational Management, as well as Hebrew Literature, Bible, and Methods of Teaching Hebrew Literature and Biblical studies.

Dr. Adini held faculty positions at Temple University and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, both in Philadelphia. PA. His community and professional involvement include membership in the Philadelphia Jewish Federation's Committees on teens, family education, and Modern Israel.

Dr. Uzi Adini earned a B.A. degree, a Secondary Teachers' Certificate and M.A. degrees, at the prestigious Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He earned his Ed.D degree at Dropsie College in Philadelphia, PA. His doctoral dissertation examined means of transmitting Jewish values through the methods of teaching Hebrew Literature to high school students.
