As President and Chief Executive Officer of World Access, Jon Ansell leads the strategic direction and performance of World Access, a leading provider of specialty insurance and assistance. A high-growth company headquartered in Richmond, VA, World Access is a member of the Mondial Assistance Group, the world's largest travel insurance and assistance company, and part of the Allianz family of companies. Mr. Ansell is a member of the executive board of the Mondial Assistance Group.

World Access provides insurance and assistance for several industries, including: travel & entertainment, financial, corporate and healthcare. Mr. Ansell co-founded the company in the mid-1980s.

Mr. Ansell is also the founding and current President of the US Travel Insurance Association, a non-profit trade group representing the insurers, third-party administrators, brokers and related service companies in the US travel insurance industry.

In a prior position as Director of Strategic Planning and New Business Development for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Mr. Ansell was responsible for development of the Access America travel insurance product, which later became part of World Access.

Mr. Ansell holds a BA from Colgate University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Ansell lives in Richmond, Virginia.
